2.68 L get hiked pensions in Eluru

The distribution of NTR Bharosa Social Security Pensions began in the district on Monday in a big way across the district in which over 2.68 lakh beneficiaries were disbursed pensions.
Housing and I&PR Minister K Parthasarathi, flanked by district Collector Vetri Selvi, launched the distribution of pensions at Pothireddypally village in Nuzvid mandal at 6 am on Monday. The Minister said that over 65.18 lakh beneficiaries were being disbursed about Rs 4,408 crore NTR Bharosa Social Security pensions across the state.
The Minister highlighted that the Chandrababu Naidu a headed government has enhanced the pension amount from Rs 3000 and Rs 4000. The beneficiaries were being disbursed Rs 4000 pension and Rs 3,000 dues for April, May and June months. A total of Rs 7,000 was disbursed to each pensioner today, the minister added.
“The YSRCP regime had taken five years to raise the social security pension amount from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3000. But the Chandrababu Naidu-headed government enhanced the pension amount from Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 as per the assurance immediately after coming to power,” the Minister asserted.
The differently-abled people are being disbursed Rs 6000 pension, people who are suffering from diseases like paralysis were extended Rs 5000 to Rs 10,000 and those who are bed-ridden were being disbursed Rs 5000 to Rs 15,000 under the NTR Bharosa social security pension,  the Housing Minister said, and claimed that the pensions were seen buoyed after taking the enhanced pensions today.
Minister Parthasarathi assured of extending pensions on the first date of every month at their houses. All eligible people would get the fruits of welfare schemes in the alliance-led government, he promised.
The Minister lauded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for disbursing social security pensions to all eligible people despite the state’s facing financial crisis. The Minister exuded confidence that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu could put Andhra Pradesh on the development path with his able leadership qualities and vast experience.
The Minister also promised to complete the Chintalapudi lift irrigation scheme and complete the TIDCO houses at the earliest.
District Collector K Vetri Selvi said that 2,68,353 pensioners were disbursed Rs 182.73 crore worth of pensions in the district today.
Steps were taken to disburse 100 per cent pensions on July 1 st itself, she added. District Rural Development Project Director R Vijaya Raju and other officials were among those who were present.
