Superintendent of Police Malika Garg handed over appointment letters to two women who were appointed on compassionate grounds.
Two RTC employees died while working at various places in the APSRTC and their wives were given jobs on compassionate grounds as village and ward Mahila police.
Venkat Narayana died while working as a conductor at RTC in 2018. His wife Padmavati was appointed as Mahila police at Upputur village secretariat. E Shivarama Krishna died in 2013 and his daughter Bharati was appointed as Mahila police at Kammapalem secretariat here.
On this occasion, the SP told them about the job procedures of women police officers, to play a prominent role in gathering information regarding law and order maintenance, crime control, anti-social/anti-law programs, and other matters within the Village/Ward secretariats, and to work hard with dedication to continue serving the people in a better way.
The district SP suggested that the police in the district should provide them with their support. Additional SP (Admin) K. Nageswara Rao and DPO AO Y Sulochana were among those who were present.
