In a freak incident, a 2-year-old girl died when the peanut seed stuck in her throat at Nallacheruvu village in Kadiri mandal on Wednesday.
The two-year-old deceased Nayanasri was playing with other children in front of her house.
They tried to eat a peanut which got stuck in her throat. She suffered suffocation. She was immediately taken to a private hospital in Kadiri where she was declared dead. Poignant scenes were witnessed at the hospital with the parents grieving inconsolably.
