Three persons were feared drowned in River Krishna at Chodavaram on Friday. Two bodies were fished out. The deceased have been identified as Shaik Kaleesha (30), and Abdul Raheem Basha (34) and the search is on for Thalluri Kiran (37). All three are natives of Vijayawada. Police said on /Thursday night the trio who were friends went to Chodavarm village outskirts and consumed alcohol and later they planned to swim in the river. They entered the river and went missing. Later, when the bodies of Raheem and Kaleesha were floating on the water, locals noticed and informed the police.
Police rushed to the spot and identified the car belonging to Raheem in which they found the clothes and identity cards of the trio. Police also found that Raheem owns a hotel in Vijayawada, while Kaleesha works as his driver. Kiran works in another hotel in Vijayawada. Penamaluru police registered a case and took up an investigation.
