Three members of a family were drowned in the sea at Nizampatnam port and the bodies were fished out from the sea.
Police said that Sombabu, along with his wife Sai Varnika (27) son Tanish Kumar (7) and daughter Taruneswari (7 months), were sailing on a country boat to reach Muttayapalem village to go to their relatives’ house. The boat capsized at the Nizampatnam harbour. Sombabu swam ashore safely while his wife Sai Varnika, son Tanish Kumar and daughter Taruneswari drowned at the sea. The incident took place on the night of Sunday and the bodies were fished out on Monday.
The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH for postmortem. The family belonged to Eelahetladibba village in Nagayalanka mandal in Krishna district.
