316 paddy procurement centres in Krishna dist

Krishna District Joint Collector Dr Mahesh Kumar has instructed the officials to take measures for the smooth conduct of the paddy procurement process. He stated that the farmers should not face any difficulties while selling their crops at the YSR Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBK). The Joint Collector conducted a video conference with the tahsildars and other officers on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the JC said that 316 paddy procurement centres were set up in the district. He asked the tahsildars to arrange gunny bags accordingly by coordinating with the millers. He said that Hamalees would be paid charges for loading the procured paddy on the vehicles.

He further said that tahsildars must conduct ‘Dial Your Tahsildar’ from Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 10.30 AM to solve the farmers’ problems. Also, he said that a control room had already been set up for the purpose at every Mandal Revenue Office. Krishna District Revenue Officer (DRO) M Venkateswarlu, Housing PD Sridhar, Survey AD Gopala Raju, DPO Nageswara Nayak, DEO Tahera Sultana and others were present.
