4.58 L attend test for cop jobs

In all, 4,58,219 candidates attended the Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (AP SLPRB) preliminary written test held peacefully across 997 centres in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm. The exam was conducted to fill 6100 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constables (Civil) men/women and Stipendiary Cadet Trainee(SCT) Police Constables APSP (men) in the Police Department.

According to the AP SLPRB officials, hall tickets were issued to 5,03,487 candidates of which 4,58,219 candidates attended the preliminary written exam with 91 per cent present while 45,268 were absent.

Preliminary Answer Key for Question Booklet Series–A, B, C & D will be uploaded on the website (slprb.ap.gov.in) by 8.00 pm on Sunday itself and the candidates may download the preliminary answer key. The candidates may raise objections, if any, on the Preliminary Answer key on or before January 25 by 5.00 pm and they may be addressed in the following format to email id mail-slprb@ap.gov.in. The objections submitted by the candidates in any other format will not be considered.

The results of the preliminary written test will be uploaded along with a scanned copy of the OMR Sheet within 2 weeks. AP SLPRB officials express sincere thanks to the Superintendent(s) / Commissioner(s) of Police, local Police, College Staff where the exam was held, and JNTU Kakinada for their unstinted support in the smooth conduct of the examination.

In Vijayawada, APSLPRB Chairman Manish Kumar Sinha and Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata visited various examination centres in the Siddhartha Women’s College and gave instructions to the staff. Manish Kumar Sinha said that the exam was held in a transparent manner in all 997 centres and the preliminary key was uploaded on the website hence the candidates can check the same.

Sinha thanked the Superintendent(s) / Commissioner(s) of Police, local police, college staff where the exam was held, and JNTU Kakinada for their unstinted support in the smooth conduct of the examination.

In Bapatla district, SP Vakul Jindal said that constable preliminary examinations were conducted in all 15 examination centers across the district and strong security has been arranged at each examination center. Additional SP P. Mahesh has been appointed as in-charge, and three DSPs and one inspector-level officer have been appointed as in-charge for each examination centre.
