The Vigilance officials seized 40 quintals of ration rice and held four persons at Jeelugumilli check post.
Vigilance SI CH Ranjit Kumar told the media on Wednesday that on a tip off they conducted checking of vehicles on the night of Tuesday. They found 80 ration rice bags weighing 40 quintals were being transported in a van illegally.
The police seized the 40 quintals ration rice, the transport vehicle and registered a case under sections 6 (A) and 7 (1).
