City police commissioner Amber Kishore Jha has advised youth to stay away drug addiction if they want to be successful in life.
He. along with Warangal and Hanamkonda Districts Collectors Satya Sarada and P Pravina, NPDCL chairman Avinash Reddy and others, flagged 4K run.
The 4K run was organsied from police grounds to Adalat Center and returned to the police grounds. College and school students, local youth participated in the event.
An anti-drug oath was administered to the participants prior to flagging off the event. The Chief Guests presented cash rewards to the first three participants in male and female categories.
Amber Kishore Jha, addressing the participants, said that the objective of the police is to achieve drugs-free city. He appealed to people to stay away from the habit of drugs. Use of the drugs or their peddling is a culpable crime. He exhorted them to furnish information about such individuals.
The Warangal District Collector asked them to stay away from drugs for their future and keeping in mind for their good and in the interest of their families.
The Hanamkonda Collector suggested that the people to strive to effect behavioural change among those addicted to drugs.
DCPs Ravinder, Rajamahendra Naik, additional DCPs Ravi, Sanjeev, Suresh Kumar, ACPs, inspectors, RIs, SIs, RSIs, police Kala Jatha teams and others took part in the event.
