State Social Welfare Minister Merugu Nagarjuna has announced that 67 students from SC Gurukul will be granted admission to prestigious institutions such as IIT, NIT, NIFT, and Central Universities this year, thanks to their exceptional performance in the JEE Advanced exams. Remarkably, these students achieved these impressive results despite not being able to write their class 10 exams during the challenging Corona period.

In a press release on Monday, Minister Nagarjuna revealed that, based on the JEE Advanced results, students from Ambedkar Gurukuls are expected to secure 67 seats this year. Considering last year’s cutoff marks, SC Gurukul students will be allocated 16 seats in IITs, 39 seats in NITs, and 12 seats each in NIFT and other central universities. Notably, out of the students from the Chinnatekur (Kurnool) training centre, 28 are likely to secure seats, with 8 of them in IITs, 16 in NITs, and 4 in other universities.

Furthermore, 29 students from the Edpugallu (Krishna) training center are expected to secure seats, with 6 in IITs, 17 in NITs, and 6 in other universities.

The minister also mentioned that 10 students from the Adushi Takkellapadu (Guntur) training center are likely to secure seats, with two of them expected to be in IITs, 6 in NITs, and two more in other universities.

Minister Nagarjuna emphasized that the students who appeared for the JEE Advanced exams had already passed classes 9 and 10 without being able to take the exams during the Corona period. He expressed his satisfaction with the increased number of students securing seats this year compared to the previous JEE Advanced exams and expressed optimism that SC Gurukula students will continue to achieve remarkable results in the coming years.

The minister also highlighted the exceptional performance of SC Gurukula students in the recently released NEET examinations, where they secured 44 seats in MBBS and Dental courses.

Nagarjuna praised R. Pavana Murthy, Secretary AMO, N. Sanjeeva Rao, and the dedicated teachers who worked tirelessly to ensure that the students achieved the best results in the JEE Advanced exams.
