76,290 students allotted seats in DOST Phase I

the officials of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) announced that 1,04,784 candidates registered in Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) out of whom 76,290 candidates were allotted in Phase I seat allotment on Thursday.
Out of 1,04,784 candidates, 94,128 candidates registered via Aadhaar mobile linked OTP authentication while 1,722 candidates via DOST app authentication. About 2,775 candidates registered for T App Folio Photo Image Authentication while 6,159 registered for MeeSeva Biometric Authentication. The total web-options exercised by the candidates are 3,91,973 while the total number of seats (intake) on DOST is 3,84,748.
About 55,124 students got seat allotment against first priority while 21,166 students got seat allotment against second priority.  This year, Commerce stream witnessed high enrollment rate compared to other streams with 28,655 students followed by Life Sciences with 15,301 students, Physical Sciences with 14,964 students, Arts with 7,766 students, Data Science and AI/ML with 2,502 students, D Pharmacy with 90 students and others with 7,012.  
In regards to medium-wise allotment, 72,431 students enrolled in English medium colleges followed by 3,314 students in Telugu medium colleges, five in Hindi medium colleges and 540 in Urdu medium colleges. About 70 colleges are zero allotted colleges.
Burra Venkatesham, Principal Secretary to Government, Education Dept. & Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Prof. R Limbadri, Chairman, TGCHE & Convener and other officials congratulated the students who secured seats in undergraduate courses.
They also stated that the candidates secured seats will get SMS to their registered mobiles. They can also get seat allotment details in candidate login in DOST website demand, through WhatsApp. All the candidates who secured a seat are instructed to reserve their seat through self-reporting from June 7 to 12  by paying Rs 500 or Rs1,000 in DOST candidate login.
The students who are allotted to the Government Degree Colleges/University Colleges and who are eligible, provisionally, for ePASS fee reimbursement (after caste and income certificate verifications) need not pay any amount to reserve the allotted seat, while Online Self-reporting. If any student fails to reserve the seat through Online Self-Reporting, then she or he foregoes the seat and his/her registration on DOST shall automatically be cancelled.
