As many as eight persons were injured when a speeding tipper collided with an APSRTC bus near Karamchedu in Bapatla district on Monday.Police said that the RTC bus was going to Chilakaluripet from Chirala.
A speeding tipper who was going to Chirala from Purchur collided with the bus. RTC bus driver Srinivasa Rao said that the tipper driver drove the vehicle rashly and at high speed resulting in it colliding with the RTC bus. The tipper lorry driver Basheer Ahmad was struck in the ill-fated vehicle. He was shifted to the GGH in Chirala.
Seven bus passengers suffered injuries in the mishap of which three suffered major injuries and were undergoing treatment in the GGH.
