Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed officials on Monday to ensure world-class arrangements for Miss World 2025, asserting that the pageant should not only reflect Telangana’s culture but also improve the state’s global image.
Reviewing the preparations at the Command Control Centre, the Chief Minister asked officials to leave no stone unturned for the international event scheduled between May 10 and May 31 in Hyderabad.
Revanth stressed that the celebrations should be held in a dignified manner as contestants from 116 countries and
nearly 3,000 media representatives will descend on Hyderabad for the beauty contest.
“The guests arriving from across the globe should experience Telangana’s warmth, hospitality and traditions from the moment they land,” he told the gathering of top officials.
The Chief Minister made it clear that from the grand inauguration at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 10 to the glittering finale on May 31, every event should run smoothly. He suggested that nodal officers be appointed for each programme and called for coordination between departments, especially tourism, police and municipal authorities.
Apart from the main pageant, transport and security arrangements will also cover visits by contestants to Charminar, Lad Bazaar, Telangana Thalli statue, Secretariat and the Chowmahalla Palace. Special plans are also being drawn for their visit to the DWCRA Bazaar to highlight women’s empowerment and watching the IPL semi-finals at Uppal Stadium.
The Chief Minister asked police to step up security at hotels housing foreign guests and at major locations connected to Miss World events. He also directed the GHMC and HYDRAA to remain alert for weather-related disruptions and to ensure uninterrupted power supply and smooth traffic flow.
