As Telangana gears up to host the 72nd Miss World Festival, the spotlight is not just on glamour but also on the extraordinary stories of ambition and achievement that each contestant brings. Far from being only faces of beauty, the young women converging in Hyderabad are coders, doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, pilots, lawyers, and changemakers, all ready to inspire a new generation.

From boardrooms to classrooms, and from hospitals to television studios, these contestants represent a stunning spectrum of professions. Albania’s Elona Ndrecaj, Portugal’s Maria Amelia Baptista, and El Salvador’s Sofía Estupiñán are already running successful businesses. Namibia’s Selma Kamanya, an economist, and India’s Nandini Gupta, who has turned her business studies into empowerment initiatives, represent the brainy side of beauty.

Global diplomacy too is well represented. Thailand’s Opal Suchata, Sri Lanka’s Anudi Gunasekara, and Korea’s Min Jung are shaping new worldviews through their academic and social pursuits. Meanwhile, women like Bulgaria’s Teodora Miltenova, a cybersecurity analyst and dance teacher, blend intellect and creativity effortlessly.

Healthcare heroes include Guadeloupe’s Noémie Milne and Türkiye’s Idil Bilgen, both doctors, alongside nurses from France, Northern Ireland and Guyana, and psychotherapists from Malta and Poland. These women are healers at heart and in profession.

Pilots, aviation students and teachers also form a major part of the global cohort. Chile’s Francisca Lavandero is a commercial pilot, Somalia’s Zainab Jama studied aviation, while Scotland’s Amy Scott is making a mark as a wedding and event coordinator.

Creativity meets technology as well. New Zealand’s Samantha Poole, Philippines’ Krishnah Gravidez, and Kenya’s Grace Ramtu are bringing digital design, content creation and fashion to the global stage. Musicians like Latvia’s Maria Elizabete and Ecuador’s Sandra Alvarado promise to enthral audiences during the festival.

Future architects, engineers, and scientists from countries including Bolivia, Slovenia, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and Sweden are also part of this incredible lineup. They will likely find Telangana’s own blend of heritage and modern architecture particularly inspiring.

Law and justice are equally represented with aspiring legal professionals from Ireland, Portugal, Ghana and Senegal among others. From fighting for human rights to studying criminal sciences, these women are ready to uphold justice across the globe.

Finally, the spirit of sustainability and science shines through with environmental champions like Nepal’s Srichchha Pradhan, and logistics and transportation experts like Peru’s Staisy Huamansisa, whose studies align closely with Telangana’s green ambitions.

As Telangana showcases its culture, temples and modern marvels to the world, Miss World 2025 is set to break stereotypes. “The future is female – and it is already here,” is the message resonating from Hyderabad this season. Behind every sash is not only beauty, but purpose, passion and professionalism.
