On the occasion of Ram Pothineni’s birthday on May 15, the makers of his upcoming film announced the title as Andhra King Taluka. Directed by P. Mahesh Babu and starring Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, the film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers. After Pawan Kalyan’s victory as MLA from Pithapuram, the term Pithapuram Taluka gained popularity. Inspired by this trend, Ram’s film adopts the catchy title Andhra King Taluka. Kannada superstar Upendra plays a pivotal role as the iconic Superstar Surya Kumar in the movie.
To mark the announcement, the team released a promotional video set in the early 2000s. The video opens with a chaotic scene outside a packed theatre, where fans are desperately seeking tickets to Andhra King Surya Kumar’s latest film. The overwhelmed theatre owner starts ignoring calls when suddenly Ram enters on a bicycle, mimicking Surya Kumar’s signature style. Proudly calling himself a “true fan on behalf of the Andhra King’s fans,” he boldly demands 50 tickets.
Ram portrays a die-hard fan of the legendary Surya Kumar and has undergone a charming makeover to fit the role. Interestingly, Upendra only appears as a cutout in the teaser, yet his presence commands attention.
Overall, the title teaser has heightened expectations, promising a nostalgic, energetic ride that celebrates stardom and fandom alike.
