Asha Negi, who has carved a niche in the digital entertainment world with performances in shows like Baarish, Abhay, and a memorable role in Ludo, is making a striking return in the fourth season of the hit legal drama Criminal Justice. Known for its gripping courtroom narratives and led by the ever-versatile Pankaj Tripathi, the series continues to garner attention—and its upcoming season is no exception.

The new chapter, directed by Rohan Sippy, boasts a formidable ensemble including Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Mita Vashisht, and Shweta Basu Prasad. Speaking about being part of such a well-established show, Asha shared, “I was very excited when I was a part of the show during the process because I had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the whole process. At this moment, I feel it’s only excitement. I’m not much into taking pressure.”

She added that the enthusiasm from fans has been encouraging. “When I tell people that I’m in it, they say, ‘Oh, it’s finally coming! I was waiting for the season to come and watch.’ So, yeah, I can see some loyal audiences around, and I’m actually really excited for people to see me like this in this character.”

Beyond her current project, Asha is also clear about where she wants to head next. Expressing a strong desire to collaborate with some of India’s most visionary directors, she said, “I would love to work with Imtiaz Ali, Vikramaditya Motwani, and many more.”

But it’s not just about who she works with—it’s also about the kind of roles she chooses. At this point in her career, Asha is chasing parts that challenge her emotionally and mentally. “At this stage, I am drawn to the kind of roles that give me a little bit of discomfort, that make me go through sleepless nights before a difficult scene, that gives me that undeniable high after I’ve lived through that scene,” she explained. “I think at this stage, I need that level of intensity, something that shakes me up.”

As she steps into this ambitious phase, Asha Negi’s focus is sharp: she’s here to dive deep into characters that demand more—and to tell stories that resonate long after the credits roll. With her return to Criminal Justice and an unflinching commitment to craft, she is poised to become an even more compelling force in Indian entertainment.
