SKN, one of the most talked-about producers in Telugu cinema, continues to expand his creative footprint with multiple exciting projects in the pipeline—including a high-profile Hindi remake and a much-anticipated collaboration with actor Allu Sirish. Known for his keen storytelling instincts and strong industry relationships, SKN has emerged as a key figure in the new wave of Telugu cinema. In a candid conversation, he opens up about his journey, upcoming ventures, and the people who played a pivotal role in shaping his career.
Among his upcoming projects is the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit Baby, which he originally produced. While actor Babil Khan was initially cast in the lead, he has since stepped away from the film, prompting the team to begin the search for a new lead actor.
“We will finalize the cast and announce it after Ashadha Maasam,” said SKN. He added that all details would be revealed on the film’s launch day.
“We’ve made a few changes for the Hindi version, particularly in terms of intensity to suit that audience. For the Telugu version, we were mindful of the local audience and censor requirements, but the story remains the same. We’re not glorifying anything—only the intensity has been increased,” SKN explained. He added that shooting will begin next month.
Although he is actively producing multiple films, SKN is not interested in direction. “I was always surrounded by many directors and was deeply involved when they narrated stories to me. So, I don’t want to step into direction,” he said.
When SKN entered the industry, Allu Sirish was a close friend. When asked why he hadn’t yet collaborated with Sirish despite producing several films, he responded, “Sirish is the reason I entered this industry, so I am planning a good, solid story for him. I’m definitely making a film with him, and the story is already taking shape. When I do, it should be a proper, well-made film,” said SKN.

SKN is currently working on Chennai Love Story with Kiran Abbavaram. He is also introducing two new directors. “I’m introducing Krishna, a new director, and the film will start from August. Another director, Avinash, who worked on Hari Hara Veera Mallu, has brought me a compelling story I liked. A big Kannada star and a mid-range Telugu star are acting in this film, which will also start shooting next month,” he said.
Additionally, director Maruthi, after The Raja Saab, is doing another film for SKN. Director Sai Rajesh will also team up again with SKN for a Telugu film after the Hindi Baby. “I’m listening to a few stories, and some may materialize in the coming months,” said SKN. He has also produced a web series titled 3 Roses, which may stream this August.
SKN is known for his spontaneous and viral speeches at events. Does he prepare for them? “No, I never prepare when I speak. But I get very nervous. My speeches are spontaneous,” he said. When asked if there’s a writer in him, he added, “I used to participate in essay competitions during school and college and won many prizes.”
There were also rumours that SKN would make his acting debut. He responded, “No. A few filmmakers approached me for full-length roles, but I’m not interested. I don’t know about the future, but for now, I’m focusing only on producing films.”
