Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud offered prayers to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Brahmarambika Devi at the Srisailam temple in Nandyal district in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
The Chief Justice of India and his wife were accorded a traditional welcome by the temple trust board chairman R Chakrapani Reddy along with temple Executive Officer Lavanya and temple priests at the Rajagopuram and led them into the temple complex.
Later the CJI along with his wife performed Rudrabhishekam and Kunkumarchana at the Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Brahmarambika Devi shrines for a brief while.
Later Srisailam Devasthanam officials handed over the temple Teertha-Prasadams and the Vedic pandits rendered ‘Vedasreevachanam’ on the CJI couple.
