The Minister for Medical, Health and Finance, T. Harish Rao said that the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was undemocratic and that it was done as the BJP is unable to face AAP politically.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Harish said that Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest by the CBI is part of a political vendetta.
“The BRS strongly condemns Sisodia’s arrest. Unable to face the AAP politically, the BJP-led Central Government is trying to implicate the AAP leadership in false cases,” Harish said.
Recently, the BJP, which suffered a severe defeat in the Delhi local body elections, has been arresting AAP leaders.
In the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, the BJP tried to win the mayor’s seat by using money and muscle power. The country saw how badly the BJP behaved during the election of the mayor in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, Harish said.
“The Supreme Court also intervened in the matter. The BJP is unable to digest AAP capturing the post of Delhi Mayor. Unable to face AAP politically, it directed the CBI and arrested the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister in the liquor scam. We strongly condemn this. The BJP is trying to sabotage the democratic political system. It is threatening opposition parties in the country with the ED, the CBI and the IT department. The BJP’s games will not work. The days are coming soon when people will give the BJP a fitting lesson,” Harish said.
Arrest undemocratic
The BRS condemned Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s arrest on Sunday. BRS Working President K. Taraka Rama Rao, in a statement issued on Sunday, condemned the arrest of Manish Sisodia. “Manish Sisodia’s arrest is undemocratic. The BJP’s way of acting against the opposition is illegal. The BJP is engaging in stealth politics by using Central agencies. Sisodia’s arrest is part of a conspiracy to use Central agencies to weaken regional parties in states where the BJP cannot come to power.
The political conspiracies of the BJP against the opposition have become an axe on democracy. Sisodia’s arrest is the ultimate in BJP’s politics. Sisodia has been arrested after the BJP faced defeat in the Delhi mayoral election due to Supreme Court intervention. The BJP is engaged in cowardly politics and is unable to face the leaders of strong parties questioning its inefficiency and corruption,” KTR said.
“The BJP makes sneaky attempts to portray its corrupt leaders as Satyaharishchandra’s brothers and opposition leaders as corrupt. The nation is watching the unethical politics of the BJP. People will definitely reject BJP’s politics. It has become a habit for the BJP to gain power and engage in unethical politics. The BJP has already toppled nine state governments. The BJP conspires to damage parties that do not accept its offers. In Telangana too, the BJP tried to buy MLAs. People have seen the BJP’s actions. The end is coming for BJP’s undemocratic conspiracies,” KTR said.
