Telangana is the only state in the country which utilized Campa funds on a large scale even during the Corona pandemic period (2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22).
State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Boinapally Vinod Kumar said that Telangana tops the country in expanding forests and that it is doing well in conserving wildlife.
He said that Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy should check facts before speaking.
According to the ISFR report, in 2015-2021, the forest area of Telangana increased by 7.7 per cent and during 2019-2021 the forest area increased by 3.07 per cent, Vinod said.
He said that the availability of water in forests has increased the employment opportunities of tribals and women.
He said that Union Ministers should check facts before speaking in Parliament and that the forest area has increased, greenery has increased, wildlife protection is good and the use of Campa funds is good in Telangana.
He demanded that Union Minister Kishan Reddy should disclose reports on the utilization of Campa funds in BJP-ruled states and not in other states.
