Must read

Several tribal leaders on Thursday blamed BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao for levelling baseless allegations against Minister for Agriculture S Niranjan Reddy. They denied that the Minister had grabbed the land.

Refuting the allegations at a media conference held at the MPP chamber here on Thursday, tribal leaders Ghanapuram, Krishna Nayak, ZPTC member Samya Nayak and others threw an open challenge whether Raghunandan Rao would resign as MLA if his charges were proved wrong

They clarified that Rs 3.56 crore had been allocated under ST AGF to develop a road from Mojarla to Alwala for the benefit of the people living in various tribal hamlets in Khanapur limits. The road would be beneficial to Gormila Thanda, Onya Thanda, School Thanda and Timmayapalli Thanda in Addakula mandal to travel to Pedda Mandadi.

Against this backdrop, the people of tribal hamlets asked the Minister for the development of the road from Mojarla to Alwala via Velluru School Thanda and Mangampalli as it would be beneficial to reach Pedda Mandadi mandal headquarters quickly.

They clarified that the allegations against the Minister by the BJP MLA were far from true.

They demanded that the BJP MLA visit the tribal hamlets and prove his allegation. They alleged that the MLA spewed venom on the developmental works underway in tribal hamlets without knowing the facts.

Sarpanchs Peenya Naik, Srinu Naik, Manyam Naik, ST Cell Presidents Gopal Naik, Raju Naik, Kishan, Ramesh, Jagadish, Srinu Naik, Jampla Naik, Ramchander Naik, Rupla Naik, Jalja Naik, Ramesh Naik and others were present at the press conference.
