The students were all praise for Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as he released funds under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena at Narpala of Anantapur district.
Divya Deepak, a second-year BTech student of JNTU-Anantapur, who hails from Dharmavaram, hailed Jagan for bringing revolutionary changes in the field of education and informed him that she was pursuing education with the help of Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena.
“Through the implementation of schemes like Amma Vodi, Jagananna Vidya Kanuka and Nadu- Nedu, the Chief Minister has laid great emphasis on the future of the students and making them compete globally. I am feeling very proud that the Chief Minister is supporting the students on all fronts after the financial crisis caused by Covid-19,” she said. She said that her family had received around Rs 3.06 lakh through various schemes being implemented by the government. She also said that she would take the initiatives of the Chief Minister forward.
Govind Chandrasekhar, a B.Tech final year student of SKD University, said that his father was a daily wage worker in Chennur village of Tirupati district. They are not in a financial condition to support his higher education. The implementation of schemes like Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena helped him a lot. Students like him will be indebted for the support given by the Chief Minister for the education sector.
Schemes like Nadu-Nedu, Amma Vodi, Jagananna Goru Mudda, and Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena will remain forever in the history of the education sector, he said. Around Rs 4.59 lakh was received by his family under various schemes, he said and appealed to the Chief Minister to stand by the poor students like him.
Grace, a second-year B.Tech student, JNTU-Anantapur, said that it had become a tough task for her parents to provide education for her in the competitive world. However, the implementation of schemes by the State government has brought revolutionary changes in the students’ future.
Singanamala MLA J Padmavathi referred to Nelson Mandela’s quote, ‘’Education is the only weapon to change this world’’. Jagan follows this ideology and is trying to change the destiny of the State. She hailed the vision of the Chief Minister for implementing schemes in the education sector and providing education for poor students on par with the corporate schools.
“In the past, there was drought in Singanamala constituency, but now we are getting abundant rains and agriculture has become profitable with the initiatives taken by the Chief Minister. Development does not mean constructing tall buildings, but bringing happiness in the eyes of the poor. That is the philosophy of the Chief Minister. Financial benefits worth around Rs. 1,400 crore were given to the constituency through various schemes. Besides, Rs 320 crore has been allocated for the overall development of the constituency, she said.
