The Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC), Government of Telangana, as a nodal agency and first response to innovation, is fostering the culture of innovation across the 33 districts of Telangana. The TSIC organised a Government-Startup Connect in which 11 Assistive technology startups were connected to the Government of Telangana and CSRs on Friday at T-Works.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications said, “The TSIC has been playing a phenomenal role in creating an ecosystem for assistive technology from the past four years and bringing out the advanced technology for the benefit of the autistic and physically handicapped people. Government of Telangana has also been supporting the start-ups. Adding to this, corporate companies with corporate social responsibility funds are also taking part in the programme. Start-ups which participated in the Govt. Startup CSR Connect are pushing the envelope forward in making this world a better and safe place.
Vasudeva Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Vikalangula Co-operative Corporation (TVCC), Govt of Telangana said, “I would like to see all the CSRs to support the start-ups and take the initiative to the next level towards strengthening the AT ecosystem & bettering the lives of PwDs.”
This edition of the GSC programme was specifically designed for start-ups emerging in the Assistive Technology (AT) sector. The TSIC scouted the best 11 innovative AT start-ups, which were willing to offer their products or services to the Government of Telangana, through its 3rd edition of AT Exhibition 2022. TSIC had invited CSR teams from Qualcomm, HSBC, Unitedway, S&P Global, Wells Fargo, United Way of Hyderabad, US Technologies Global and Tech Mahindra.
