A city-based startup, WhatIsMyGoal, that provides hands-on career experiences for students, is taking 70 school students to the Secretariat of Telangana as part of its Under-18 Elections initiative. The students, who are members of the election committee for their respective schools, will get an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the government. The visit is facilitated by WE-HUB, a government of Telangana initiative.
The Under-18 Elections is an initiative to provide political experience to school students. The event will be attended by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments of Telangana, as the chief guest. The post-visit interaction will be addressed by Depthi Ravula, the CEO of WE-HUB, and Chitralee Sharma, the Chief Election Commissioner of the U18 world.
WhatIsMyGoal has built a community of 160 schools in Hyderabad, and has curated multiple experiences for students to prepare them for the future. The visit to the Secretariat is in line with a previous visit to the Legislative Assembly, where 200 students from 51 schools learnt about politics firsthand. The U18 Elections were launched by IT Minister of Telangana K T Rama Rao.
