Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao hoped that World Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen would win gold in the next Olympics and bring glory to India once again.
The CM said that the government will provide full support to Nikhat Zareen, who has already earned success on many world platforms, to participate in the Olympics.
Nikhat Zareen had a courtesy meeting with KCR at the Secretariat on Thursday. The CM made it clear that the government will bear the expenses of her training, coaching, transportation etc to participate in the Olympics.
The CM announced a grant of Rs 2 crore for Nikhat Zareen to fund her preparations for the Olympics. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari was asked to take action regarding this.
