Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu appeals to people to vote for Congress to usher in a welfare state

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has called upon the people, especially the youth and students, to cast their vote for the Congress to usher in a welfare state.

“Sonia Gandhi granted statehood to Telangana to stop suicides by the youth,” he said. 

Addressing a public meeting at Jadcherla on Thursday in connection with the People’s March of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the Himachal Chief Minister said that Sonia Gandhi was moved by the sacrifices made by youth and students for the statehood cause and ensured that the demand for Telangana State was granted. He exuded confidence that the Congress would come to power in the next elections. 

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his solidarity with the government employees fighting for the restoration of the “old pension scheme.” The old pension scheme, he said, would ensure that the employee, after retirement, leads a dignified. “If the Congress leaders are harassed by the government, the Karnataka results will repeat in Telangana too, he predicted. 

Former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the nation. Indira Gandhi declared that “every drop of my blood will invigorate the nation and strengthen it.”

He accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government of holding the State to ransom. He called upon people to help free the State from the clutches of the BRS government. 

AICC in-charge for Telangana Manikrao Thakre, TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, 

former MP Mallu Ravi, senior leaders and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, former MLA Sampath Kumar, former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy and others were present.
