Infosys, the renowned Bangalore-based IT giant, is poised to commence its operations in Visakhapatnam on June 28, signalling a significant milestone for the company. The Rushikonda IT Park Hill No.2 is now home to a sprawling edifice constructed by Infosys, which will serve as its development centre.
Initially slated to establish a satellite office, Infosys decided to elevate its plans by creating a dedicated Development Centre. The company faced delays in commencing operations as the finalization of the office’s location took longer than anticipated, sources reported. The earlier target for inauguration was set for October 2022.
In the first phase of its Vizag venture, Infosys will begin with a workforce capacity of 650 employees. By the end of this year, the company intends to ramp up staffing levels to reach 1,000 employees. Furthermore, in the coming years, Infosys envisions expanding its workforce to approximately 3,000 individuals, according to company officials. Prospective candidates with qualifications in enterprise applications, software development, and IT-enabled services have been invited to apply for positions within the company.
