A new 100-bed government hospital was inaugurated in Gudivada on Saturday, marking a significant milestone in the healthcare sector. Minister for Health, Vidadala Rajini, along with former minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani), unveiled the newly constructed Government Area Hospital 2, which was built at a cost of Rs 10.28 crore. As part of the inauguration, a statue of the revered Dr YSR was also unveiled in the hospital premises, where floral tributes were paid.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Rajini praised Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s efforts in implementing progressive reforms in the medical and health sector, aligning with the vision of Dr YSR. She challenged Nara Chandrababu, chief of the Telugu Desam Party, to provide an account of his accomplishments during his tenure as Chief Minister. Expressing disappointment in Chandrababu and his son Lokesh, Minister Rajini emphasized that they were not worthy of discussing Aarogyasri, as their actions have eroded the people’s trust.
Minister Rajini further highlighted that CM Jagan enjoys the trust and confidence of the people, and will fulfill all the promises made to them. She commended Kodali Nani for his unwavering dedication to serving the people of Gudivada and highlighted that he had received the blessings of both the people and NTR.
In his address, MLA Kodali Nani expressed his joy that the hospital was inaugurated on the birth anniversary of Dr YSR, who revolutionized the medical and health sector. He acknowledged CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s swift action in allocating Rs 10 crore funds for the improvement of Gudivada Government Area Hospital. Kodali Nani extended his gratitude to the officials of the medical department and the MEGA engineering company for their timely completion of the state-of-the-art hospital.
Present at the inauguration were Development Committee Chairman MV Narayana Reddy, APVVP Commissioner Dr Venkateshwarlu, Joint Collector Aparajitha Singh, DMHO Dr Geeta Bai, YSRCP leaders Mandali Hanumantha Rao and Dukkipati Shashi Bhushan, NTR Stadium Committee Vice Chairman Paleti Chanti, Town YSRCP President Gorla Srinu, District Youth President M Kali, President of Urban Women’s Association M Venkatalakshmi, officials from the Medical Department, and members of the public.
