Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao handed over the copy of the Government Order to make permanent the services of VRAs with a fixed pay scale, to VRA JAC leaders on Monday in the Secretariat.
The VRAs have been working as Village Assistants for generations on contract basis with meagre salaries. As per the GO, “Government, after careful review, has decided to convert the services of 16,758 Village Revenue Assistants who have not attained the age of 61 years into full time, absorbing them in suitable government departments, against the categories of Last Grade Service/Record Assistant/Junior Assistant or equivalent categories as per their qualifications and extend them regular pay scales”.
For those up to Class X Last Grade Service, about 10,317posts, Rs 19,000-5,8850/- will be the pay scale. For 2,761 Intermediate Record Asst. posts, pay scale will be Rs 22,240-6,7300/- and for 3,680 Degree and Junior Asst posts, it would be above Rs 24,280-72,850/-
As per the GO, “The government has also decided that in respect of such of the Village Revenue Assistants (3,797) who are continuing their services beyond 61 years of age (as there is no retirement age prescribed in respect of VRAs appointed prior to 1.10.2011), considering their fervent request on medical grounds,subiect to their eligibility, their sons/daughters may be provided compassionate appointment as per their eligibility and qualifications against the categories of Junior Assistant/Record Assistant/ Last Grade Service or equivalent posts.”
The Telangana Revenue Employees Services Association (TRESA) leaders thanked Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao for promoting 100 MROs as Deputy Collectors. Association President Vanga Ravinder Reddy, General Secretary K Gautam Kumar, Vice-President K Niranjan, P Ramesh, State Committee members M Janardhan Reddy, Srilata, Venkanna, district Presidents Raman Reddy, Venkatesh and Suma met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat . The association leaders and members brought to the notice of the CM about the pending revenue employees issues and requested to take appropriate action.
