A 13-feet dreaded King cobra was found in a paddy field by the agriculture labourers at Turuvolu village in Chidikada mandal in Madugula constituency.
When the agricultural labourers were carrying out paddy transplantation work, they found the King cobra in the field. The farmers and workers fled in panic. They informed the matter to the police and the forest officials.
Two snake catchers, after 10 minutes of struggle, captured the giant snake. One of the snake catchers narrowly escaped from being bitten while capturing the snake. The capture of the 13-feet King cobra went viral on social media.
Divisional Forest Officer Shiva Kumar said that the King cobra would be released in the forest area. This is the first time a King Cobra found in the paddy field, the agriculture workers said. The King cobra might have been washed away in the floodwater from the forest areas in East Godavari district and slithered into the paddy field, forest officials said.
