Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Friday said that the people are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to inaugurate various development initiatives in Suryapeta on August 20.
Addressing media after inspecting the BRS office, medical college, collectorate premises to be inaugurated by the CM on Aug 20, he said the proposed Pragati Nivedana Sabha to be held in the town on Sunday would surpass the Samara Bheri Sabha held in Suryapeta in scale and form.
In all, 2 lakh people are expected to take part in the public meeting. Arrangements have been made suitably that the meeting would be held smoothly even if it rained on that day. Parking facilities are provided near the venue of the public meeting.
Several villages have adopted resolutions expressing gratitude to Father of Telangana KCR for improving the lot of the people, he said.
The people are readying tractors and bullock carts to attend the public meeting, he said adding that the people are adopting resolutions in favour of KCR and against the parties that posed \problems to them.
The public meeting would be first of its kind after the Rs 1 lakh waiver.
Therefore, the farmers are eagerly awaiting to attend the meeting, he said.
The people of the town are awaiting to express their gratitude to KCR for sanctioning medical college, new collectorate, new SP office, integrated market complex to the district, he said.
