The last project of actress Avantika Dasani, Mithya’s paranoia kept the viewers on the edge of their seats. Because she was able to provide the satisfying ending it deserved, the newcomer bagged another project post-haste opposite Bellamkonda Ganesh.
In an exclusive chat with us, the Mithya fame, who feels she got lucky with the timing in the south, revealed, “I saw some extensive changes after the success of my debut show. My viewership increased, and so did acceptance. I felt so acquired by my audiences that doing a Telugu film didn’t feel like a hurdle for me. My fans told me they wanted to see more of me and understand me, moving away from the fact that I am Bhagyashree’s daughter. I got really lucky with the timing! I started shooting for this movie right after my debut, not restricting myself. These are my budding years in the industry, so I am like that sponge that can be moulded in any format.”
Sure, she’s spinning a labyrinth in the Southern region as well. Who wouldn’t, looking at the massive hits? Furthermore, speaking about his co-star Ganesh, she continued, “My co-star Ganesh is talkative. He was a good helping hand! I was finding it a tad bit difficult in terms of language. A lot of the time, he would end up being the translator for me. He understands this space better than I do, which is obvious. But most importantly, we bonded over food! I was irking him all the time for some recommendations in Vijayawada. He had a variety of biryani for all of us! I must say, their biryani is not pulao. (she laughed).”
It is her mother who has been encouraging her to test her waters in the regional film industry. Avantika revealed, “I had my fingers crossed for a hit, but it’s okay. I am not so daring to expect any success at the moment; I am still not an established actress. My mother has in fact encouraged me a lot because she finds regional industries to be a good testing ground; she has seen how the work environment has a firm hand in comparison with Bollywood. But she does get nervous if I am put at the deep ends of the water.”
In conclusion, the Nenu Student Sir’s leading lady said, “I am open to every project. I am too fresh to choose! It’s just the beginning of my career. I am hoping for opportunities.”
