Transco and Genco CMD D. Prabhakhar Rao said that funds are not being released to electricity companies by the government even though Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao himself had ordered it.
He said that no matter how many times he tried to meet Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao regarding this it was not possible to meet him. Prabhakara inaugurated the Accounts Officers Union Building on Monday at the Mint Compound.
Speaking on the occasion, Prabhakara said that some IAS officers are envious of the popularity of Telangana power companies. They are trying to block the progress of power companies, he said.“There is a chance that some problems will arise in power supply if IAS officers follow the same policy towards power companies. I am requesting these officers not to continue this. There is a chance that conspiracies may be hatched to remove us from our posts after this statement. That is no problem for us as these IAS officers did not appoint us. The CM appointed us seeing our work,” Prabhakara said.
He said that the per capita power consumption in TS is now 2126 units. He made it clear that industries are coming to Telangana only because of the quality power supply.
