Preventing accidents: DCP inspects traffic junctions

NTR Police Commissionerate East Zone Deputy Police Commissioner Vishal Gunni inspected traffic junctions at Benz Circle, MG Road, Eluru Road and National Highway signals in Vijayawada on Wednesday. He gave suggestions to the officers regarding traffic regulations in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, DCP Vishal Gunni said traffic problems were increasing in Vijayawada, therefore officials should take preventive steps in advance to give good results. He said officers and staff should create awareness among the public on road accidents, safe driving, and traffic regulations.
He stated that if the Vijayawada Outer Ring Road was completed, then traffic problems would come down in the city. Earlier, the Police Department had identified areas with traffic congestion and encroachments, which caused road accidents. By making small changes, traffic problems would be resolved, he felt.
Meanwhile, Vishal Gunni requested the public to cooperate with the Police Department in regulating the traffic in the city. People should follow the traffic rules and both the public and police should work together to resolve the traffic issues in Vijayawada, he added.
