The Election Commission of India (ECI) has seized Rs 709,56,12,177 worth of items and money in the SWtate since the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force on October 9. The total cumulative seizures value in rupees from November 25, 9 am to November 26, 9 am is Rs 10,66,38,065. In all, 2,96,595 kgs rice, 9,207 cookers, 362 lunch boxes, 2,40,956 litres of liquor, 9,923 kgs ganja, 479 ganja plants, 302 kgs gold and 1,195 kgs of silver have been seized since October 9. Since October 9 Rs 282,75,04,482 has been seized by the EC. Liquor seizure was worth Rs 117,86,87,511, drugs worth of Rs 39,48,02,714, precious metals worth Rs 186,37,48,324, freebies worth of Rs 83,08,69,146 have been seized.
