Satya Kumar takes a dig at AP govt

Must read

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national secretary, Satya Kumar, has accused the government of failing to fulfil its election promises. He expressed his support for Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State president, Vamsi Krishna, who commenced a hunger strike at Gymkhana Grounds in Vijayawada demanding the release of the State’s job calendar.
Vamsi Krishna’s hunger strike, under the banner of ‘Jagananna Maa Job Calendar Ekkada?'” comes ahead of the upcoming election notification.
Kumar lauded the BJYM’s initiative, highlighting the ruling YSRCP’s commitment to releasing the job calendar on the first of January every year. Addressing the media, Satya Kumar accused Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of failing to fulfil his election promises and asserted that the YSRCP deceived the youth with promises of creating 2.30 lakh jobs in the State. He criticised the State government’s suggestion that the youth should engage in the fish business instead.
Furthermore, Kumar criticised the government’s approach to the ‘Aadudam Andhra’ sports festival, claiming that when the youth requested job notifications, they were redirected to participate in the festival.
He expressed concern over the rising suicide rates among unemployed youth in the state, citing 1,345 cases in the past four years.

He further alleged that the government lacked sincerity in addressing unemployment, accusing the YSRCP of appointing its party’s political members to government positions and advisory roles for the unemployed. Despite a job notification in June 2021 to fill approximately 10,143 posts, Kumar claimed that these positions remained largely unfilled over the past four years.
