The YSRCP high command has started its exercise to announce the fourth list of in-charges and coordinators for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha segments by shuffling a few sitting members with an aim to win by fielding new candidates wherever needed.
Sources say that the party leadership is likely to release the list after January 19. The list will have at least a dozen changes, mostly pertaining to the parliamentary segment candidates. YSRCP is making changes with the aim of winning all the seats in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Apart from the caste equations, the winnings and other equations are also carefully sought. In this context, all are focused on the announcement of the fourth list.
Due to the Sankranti festival, the process of changes and additions of candidates was interrupted for three days and the discussions resumed on Wednesday. The fourth list was supposed to be released before the festival.
Although there is clarity regarding changes to five or six positions, the decision has been postponed.
On Wednesday, those who received the call from the CMO were Balineni Srinivas Reddy, Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, Penneli Ramakrishna Reddy, C Jaggireddy and Ravindranath Reddy.
Party chief and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is clear about seat changes as his intention is to win all the 175 seats. If any candidate is weak, changes and additions are required to make the party strong and seek the support of the party leaders. They are assured that those who are not given seats will be given due recognition in the coming days. According to that, based on field-level surveys, three lists have already been released with changes and 59 candidates announced, including 50 for Assembly and nine for Parliamentary segments.
