Danesh Razvi is no less than a chocolate boy figure, and someone whom you can just not stop admiring. Be it enrapturing hearts with his performance that brought up a bigger picture with A Suitable Boy, he has been gaining a much greater fandom since his recent music video, Dil Haareya.
This Arijit Singh’s love track, also featuring Tanya Maniktala, depicts the two as strangers who fall in love over a few amazing days. The song was filmed in picturesque surroundings in Georgia, and the couple is seen traversing a difficult love story. For Danesh, the journey in the entertainment industry has been no less than that of luck, for which he is grateful. As we connect with the budding actor for a quick chat, he gushes, “I think it continued with hard work and perseverance, so I’m grateful for being able to do what I do and loving my job. Getting a job in the industry means being at the right place at the right time. I was in the right place, and I’m lucky for Mira Nair to find me, and I’m lucky that she did.”
Being a part of an ‘Arijit Singh’ song was no less than a dream come true moment for him, and an ecstatic Danesh enthused, “It’s so nice to be a part of the Arijit Singh song. Everyone—the whole of India, in fact, the whole world—knows his voice. Everyone loves his voice, and you get to lip sync as if you’re singing with that voice. There is no greater honour in a music video, in my opinion, because his voice is instantly recognisable and everyone can relate to it.”
Undeniably, Danesh shares a really close bond with his co-star Tanya Maniktala, and why not? They both began their journey together in the industry. Sharing his camaraderie with her, he shares, “It feels good. It’s nice when we are approached suddenly for the song, but when I found out that they were planning to have her opposite me, I was really happy to know that. It’s a comforting feeling because it’s someone you know—someone who has maintained good relations. After all, Tanya and I have been close friends since A Suitable Boy. That’s a journey we did together, and it’s just nice to have someone there who is willing to support you and give their best to you, and you can give your best to them.”
Again, he further shares, “I think we made so much fun of each other because every time that we had to do any of these lovey-dovey moments, we had to control our laughter and not break down laughing. Those moments were something that I remember, and there was one moment where Tanya and her yellow gown were running towards the statue, but people didn’t see the oncoming traffic that we had to avoid so that we wouldn’t die. I think that was fun.”
All in all, it was a great experience for him to work with the entire crew and the director. Danesh, who at the moment is waiting to see what happens next, shares that, as an actor, he wants to experience various types of characters. However, there are a few things he is very excited about, one of which is playing a funny role that he has never done before. He is also looking forward to certain fantasy-themed characters.
“I want to work on good films and projects that I’m passionate about. I don’t want to do things simply so I can get paid more,” signs off the upcoming star, who also enjoys a great female fandom off late, especially post-A Suitable Boy, and he demurely says, “I’d be lying if I said it hadn’t spiked (laughs). I recently received a marriage proposal on the Internet. It’s gratifying, but also surreal.”
