Kakani dares Naidu to face CBI probe into graft charges

Must read

Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy has thrown down the gauntlet to opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, offering him an opportunity to prove his innocence against accusations of corruption. Minister Kakani has boldly challenged Chandrababu to agree to a comprehensive CBI investigation into all allegations against him and provide a response within 24 hours.
Pointing to the numerous allegations levelled against Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Kakani highlighted that in each case, a stay order has been obtained. He directly questioned Chandrababu, asking if he would be willing to subject himself to a CBI inquiry regarding at least one of the many cases registered against him. “If Chandrababu has no involvement in these cases, he should welcome a CBI investigation and respond to my challenge within the given time frame,” asserted the minister. He emphasised that failure to accept the challenge would be tantamount to an admission of guilt.
Minister Kakani also reminded the public of the recent exoneration by the CBI in the
case involving missing files at the Nellore court. Despite the agency’s findings, false accusations against him persist unabated, lamented the minister.
Addressing media minister pretations of CBI chargesheets, Minister Kakani clarified that he
had given the agency full permission to investigate, resulting in a year-long inquiry that ultimately absolved him of any wrongdoing. He criticized opposition leader Somireddy for
continuously casting aspersions on law enforcement agencies.
Asserting the impartiality of the CBI, Minister Kakani stated, “CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation, not Chandrababu investigation.”
He accused Chandrababu and his associates of peddling baseless accusations for the past
two years and demanded answers from them, including Chandrababu’s son Lokesh
and Somireddy (Nelaticket).
Minister Kakani cautioned against manipulating court decisions based on their convenience, warning that attempts to undermine the judiciary through biased media outlets would not go unnoticed.
Highlighting the achievements of the current administration, Minister Kakani pointed out the strides made in agricultural mechanization, contrasting them with the purported failures of the previous TDP regime.
“We have worked tirelessly for the welfare of farmers, unlike Chandrababu and the TDP. Are they prepared to face scrutiny over the agricultural policies implemented during their tenure?” questioned Minister Kakani, accusing Chandrababu of making false promises to the people.
