BRS govt indulged in land scams using 22A of Registrations Act: Kodanda

The BRS government engineered land scams using Section 22A of the Registration Act, Kisan Congress Vice-President and Dharani Committee Member M. Kodanda Reddy said.
He said that the BRS government handed over 26 acres of forest land located in survey number 164/1 in Thumkunta village in Shamirpet mandal to private individuals in June, 2022.
Kondanda also said that the BRS government handed over defence land located in survey numbers 260/2, 261, 265/8, 361/7 and 361/9 to a firm named Balaji Associates. In Bomraspet village, the BRS government handed over 1,065 acres of private land to F4L Farms, which belongs to BRS Rajya Sabha Member Joginpally Santhosh Kumar.
The BRS government also registered 23 acres of prohibited land in the name of Santhosh Kumar. He said that the BRS government placed thousands of acres belonging to farmers in the prohibited list and registered the same lands in the name of Ambuj Agarwal after the Assembly elections.
He said that the BRS government kept 24 lakh acres of assigned land in the prohibited list and handed it over to whomsoever they liked.
Kodanda was speaking to the media on Saturday at the Gandhi Bhavan. He said that the BRS government auctioned the lands of the poor using the HMDA.
He said that the BRS government took 1,500 acres from Dalits in Chandavelli village in Chevella mandal paying a mere Rs 9 lakh per acre. Later, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao sold it to a multinational for Rs 1.30 crore per acre.
Stating that he has been submitting a report regarding this with comprehensive evidence, Kodanda said that they had filed a complaint with the then BRS government under the leadership of TPCC President Revanth Reddy. However, the BRS government did not respond.
Kodanda said that the BRS government gave title deeds for 25 acres to private individuals in Majilpur village stating that there is no Land Ceiling Act. He said that the Congress is a party that exists for the poor and that he will dig out all the illegal acts of the BRS government and submit reports to the state government.
He said that many farmers died due to the BRS government’s acts of injustice against them.
Kodanda alleged that former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao introduced the Dharani Portal as part of a conspiracy. He said that KCR and KTR are responsible for the irregularities that took place through the Dharani Portal.
Kodanda said that KCR kept the Revenue Department with him and KTR kept the IT Department with him and both KTR and KCR are responsible for all land scams. He appealed to the state government to take action against KCR and KTR and that one official of the Survey of India had told him that the BRS government would introduce the Dharani Portal only to grab lands.
Kodanda appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take action against those responsible for the land scams how big they may be immediately or after the Parliament elections are over.
He said that these land scams took place under the supervision of former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and that the biggest land scam took place during the BRS government.
