As the clock ticks closer to the much-anticipated release of Satya, a Telugu adaptation of the Tamil blockbuster Rangoli, producer Siva Mallala shares his insights and journey in bringing this enthralling tale to Telugu audiences.
Reflecting on the movie, Mallala reveals that Satya is slated for release on May 10, marking the culmination of meticulous efforts to present a quintessential Telugu cinematic experience. Directed by Vaali Mohan Das and starring Hamaresh and Pradhana, this venture under the production of Sivam Media promises to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative.
“The journey of this movie began when Satish, the father of Tamil producer Hero Hamaresh, introduced me to it during my visit to Chennai,” begins Mallala, adding, “As our friendship grew, he arranged a special screening for me, acknowledging my positive reviews in Telugu cinema. Although I was deeply engrossed in the film, I found the climax lacking. After a 45-minute debate with the director, I insisted that while the movie was excellent, the climax needed enhancement. Subsequently, after two months, I was invited again, and this time, renowned directors were present for the screening. I was invited on stage to share my thoughts, and it was announced that I would be releasing the film in Telugu. From that moment on, this film became my passion project. We invested Rs 12 lakh in dubbing alone, ensuring no compromises were made. Our aim is to present this movie to the audience as a flawless Telugu film.”
Despite the financial risks involved, Mallala remains undeterred, citing Hamaresh’s striking resemblance to GV Prakash, and the buzz generated on social media as indicators of the film’s potential success. He shared, “We’re aiming to release the film in 28 theaters in ceded. The initial part of this count is more than sufficient for a dubbing film, including well-known chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinemax, ensuring widespread accessibility for the audience. Despite the financial risk involved, I am confident in the film’s potential. Hamaresh’s resemblance to GV Prakash has already garnered attention, and the movie is being released by Red Giant Productions. Furthermore, Amazon has shown interest in acquiring the rights, and we hold the Telugu rights, which adds to the film’s value. The buzz generated on social media, with around 2 million posts about Rangoli 2, indicates significant anticipation for the film’s release in Telugu.  Delving into the central themes of Satya, Mallala highlights its exploration of intricate family dynamics, particularly the father-son relationship, and the nuances of education and friendship, promising audiences a multifaceted viewing experience.”
As the conversation turns to the film’s music and reception, Mallala lauds the seamless adaptation of Tamil compositions into Telugu and the positive reception garnered thus far, hinting at the film’s promising trajectory.
In conclusion, Mallala extends his gratitude to Dil Raju for his unwavering support and acknowledges the esteemed directors whose presence has contributed to the anticipation surrounding the film’s release.
