DHQH clarifies on family planning surgeries in the RR district  

District Headquarter Hospital Superintendent, in a clarification on Wednesday, said that double puncture laparoscopic (DPL) camp arrangements, planning and execution would be made by the Director of the Health Department. “Since one year, we have not received any communication from the Director of Health Services regarding the DPL camps at TVVP hospitals in RR district,” he said.
The clarification was issued in response to the report in these columns on family planning surgeries in the RR district. He further said that the operation theatre of CHC, Imbrahimpatnam, RR district, is having civil and electrical issues. “We have informed TSMIDC regarding civil and electrical repairs at the operation theatre of CHC.” People coming from tubectomy and vasectomy are referred to Area Hospital, Vanasatalipuram. At Area Hospital family planning operations are carried out like conventional tubectomy and vasectomy.
“We will start major surgeries   after the civil and electrical repairs are completed,” he added.
