In a significant step towards integrating advanced educational technology, the University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Osmania University, has introduced smart interactive boards in 25 departments on Friday. These state-of-the-art boards represent a substantial investment in modernising the educational infrastructure. Each interactive board costs approximately Rs 2 lakh, with the total project expenditure amounting to around Rs one crore.
During the inauguration of these digital classrooms, Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof. D Ravinder highlighted the crucial role of educational technologies in enhancing teaching and learning experiences. He stressed that as the landscape of education evolves, it is imperative to equip classrooms with the latest tools, applications and software to keep pace with these changes. The new interactive boards offer teachers a valuable platform to showcase and enhance their skills and talent, while students gain invaluable educational experiences.
Prof. Arjun Rao, Principal of the University College of Arts and Social Sciences, expressed gratitude to the varsity’s administration for their support in launching the digital interactive boards. He emphasised that this initiative will significantly contribute to effective teaching and learning for students, aligning with the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
