Second phase of loan waiver benefits 24,816 farmers in Kamareddy dist

The implementation of the second phase of loan waiver by Congress government benefited 24,816 farmers to the tune  of Rs 211 crore in Kamareddy district.
Living up to the promise, Revanth Reddy-led Congress government on Tuesday waived second phase of the crop loans, below Rs 1.5 lakh, of farmers from secretariat.
At the integrated district offices’ complex (collectorate) conference hall, Collector Ashish Sangwan, farmers, agriculture and cooperative department officials, bankers, local elected people’s representatives witnessed the programme live.  Farmers who witnessed the programme at all 25 RytuVedikas in the district were jubilant. They were seen pouring milk over the portrait of the CM to celebrate their happiness. They said that they are deeply indebted to the government.
The Collector distributed the loan waiver cheques to farmers as a matter of routine. Addressing the farmers, he said that the state government has been crediting Rs 31,000 crore in the bank accounts of farmers to implement the loan waiver.
