CEO calls for summary revision of voters’ list

State Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy has directed collectors to take steps to prepare the voters’ list comprehensively enrolling youth who would turn 18 years as  on Jan 1, 2025 as voters.
He along with additional Chief Electoral Officer Lokesh Kumar reviewed on Saturday on the summary revision of the voters’ list-2025 through video conference conducted from his office in Hyderabad. The CEO said that the revision of the voters’ list-2025 should be conducted and the final list of voters should be publicized on Jan 6, 2025.
An all-party meeting should be conducted in the district on the registration of voters. The pre-revision should be conducted from August 20 to 28. The draft voters’ list should be released on October 29. Objections, if any, to the draft voters’ list should be invited till November 28 and the objections and claims should be  resolved by December 24. The final list of voters should be readied by Jan 6. The booth-level poll officials should undertake door to door visit in their respective areas from Aug 20 to October 18 and names of voters in the list should be confirmed and old photos of voters should be removed and new photos should be added.
Names of youth who would be 18 by Jan 1, 2025 should figure in the list of voters. Draft voters list including the names of voters who would be 18 by Jan 1, 2025 should be repared. The logical efforts, demographical errors should be rectified in the draft list comprehensively. Names of the deceased voters and those of migrated persons on a permanent basis should be removed using Form-7. The polling booths having the number of voters 1500 and more should be rationalized. If necessary, proposals should be submitted to start new polling booths. Duplication of names in the list of voters should be removed.
The pending applications of over 79,822 applications, under form-8, should be resolved immediately.
The registration of voters should be carried out by implementing special programmes in each Assembly constituency.
Collector Muzammil Khan told the CEO that the revision of the voters list would be  accomplished as per the schedule.  Measures would be initiated to confer the right to vote on those who turned 18 years by Jan 1, 2025.
The collector asked the officials to submit proposals to the CEO on the vacancies of local bodies additional collector/Wyra revenue officer, NelakondapalliTahsildear/ERO to make alternative arrangements.
The applications from mandal wise should be pushed online for the field inspection by BLO. He asked the officials to submit him daily progress to him.
