Minister of State for Roads and Buildings, Investments and Infrastructure, BC Janardhan Reddy, has announced that Aria Global, a company based in Singapore and Spain, plans to invest in Andhra Pradesh. The investment will focus on setting up manufacturing units for bio-synthetic wood and hydrofoil boats in the State. Sampath Kumar, the Executive Director of ARIA GLOBAL, met with the Minister at the Secretariat on Thursday.
Sampath Kumar explained that their bio-synthetic wood, produced from plastic waste, has been successful in various locations. He highlighted that this material is environmentally friendly, helps conserve forests, and reduces management costs across multiple sectors.
Additionally, Kumar discussed the company’s advanced hydrofoil boats, which are currently under negotiation for supply to the Indian Navy. The boats are reported to be faster and safer than traditional models, making them suitable for coastal patrolling. ARIA GLOBAL is prepared to establish a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh if the government provides the necessary support.
In response, Minister Janardhan Reddy assured that the proposal would be presented to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He committed to offering full support to facilitate the establishment of these manufacturing units, pending further discussions with senior officials.
