Prez coming to TS on Dec 26

Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said that President Draupadi Murmu will be visiting Telangana for a five-day stay from December 26. During her stay, the President will visit Ramappa and Bhadrachalam as well as participate in programmes in the city.

She will also participate in the unveiling of the plaque of the ‘Har Dil Dhyan, Har Din Dhyan’ campaign to mark the sesquicentennial celebrations of Ramachandraji Maharaj of Fatehpur by the Ramchandra Mission at the Kanha Shanti Vanam in Ranga Reddy district.

The Chief Secretary held a coordination meeting with heads of departments to discuss arrangements to be made for the President’s stay at the Rashtrapati Nilayam in BRKR Bhavan.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to work in coordination and make arrangements for the President’s visit. He directed the GHMC Commissioner and the Cantonment board CEO to take up road repair and barricading so that traffic to Rastrapathi Nilayam can flow smoothly.

The police department was asked to make security arrangements. The CS directed the electricity department to ensure 24-hour power supply and health department to deploy medical teams and other departments to make arrangements at the Rashtrapati Nilayam as per protocol.

The Chief Secretary asked officials to also make arrangements for the smooth conduct of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj being held from January 25 to February 3. at the Kanha Shanti Vanam in Ranga Reddy district in which more than a lakh pilgrims from all over the country are expected.
