Congress Legislature Party (CLP) described the Jainoor incident as an unfortunate one. On Friday, the Government Whips—Adluri Laxman, Aadi Srinivas and MLAs—Gandra Sathyanarayana and Nagaraju have stated that the government responded to the Jainoor incident immediately. The Women Welfare Minister Seethakka consoled the victim and infused confidence in her.
Adluri Laxman alleged that several atrocities took place against Dalits, tribal and women during the BRS regime. However, former Minister T Harish Rao has been criticizing the government though atrocities were committed on women when the BRS was in power. The previous BRS government did not take a serious view of a minor girl’s rape in a moving car in Hyderabad. The BRS government made police beat a Dalit youth in KTR’s constituency. The police were under the thumb of a few BRS leaders then.
Gandra Sathyanarayana alleged that KTR and Harish Rao’s attitude is like devils reciting scriptures. He alleged that the previous BRS government gave postings only to the police who gave money. KCR weakened the education system and failed to provide minimum facilities.
Aadi Srinivas alleged that Harish Rao and Sabitha Indra Reddy were maligning the law police and damaging the brand image of Hyderabad. It is not proper to destroy the interests of Telangana for the sake of political gains. Atrocities against women took place in the BRS regime due to the availability of Ganja and drugs indiscriminately.
Nagaraju said that Disha-like incidents took place during the BRS regime and several incidents took place in Adilabad, Nirmal and Bainsa. It is shameful on the part of Harish Rao to speak in this manner forgetting the fact that the previous BRS government destroyed the police system while carrying out of tapping of phones of one section, he alleged, saying that the government arrested the culprit and the case is being probed through fast track court.
