Collector for developing Kinnerasani park as tourism hub

District Collector Jitesh V Patil has instructed officials to develop the Kinnerasani Project as tourism hub.
On Tuesday, the Collector inspected the developmental works at the Kinnerasani Project Park. During the visit, he reviewed the developmental works at the project park and the facilities that should be provided to tourists, offering suggestions to the officials.
As part of this inspection, he recommended setting up a slide for children to play, shaded areas with bamboo, personal boating facilities, toilets, and drinking water facilities. He also suggested that mess facilities be established around the shelters to ensure that tourists can have food without disturbance from monkeys. He urged the establishment of a canteen through DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) groups to provide food items, snacks, and meals at low costs.
To ensure a pleasant experience for tourists visiting the project, he advised planting trees like Velaga, Marri, Karakkaya, Allaneer, and Banka Nakkere Tandras in an orderly manner. He also recommended the establishment of percolation tanks under the employment guarantee scheme and instructed the forest department officials to submit the necessary proposals within a week.
