The Revenue Minister accused the previous BRS government of failing to contributed to the growth of the States

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Friday asserted that the government is working diligently for the benefit of the poor. He emphasised that the Indiramma government has prioritised education and healthcare. On Friday, he laid the foundation stone for a new Young Integrated school at Ponnekal under Khammam rural mandal.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the fact that the government has allocated Rs 657 crore for providing basic facilities in government schools through the Amma Adarsha scheme within just three months. He criticised the previous government for not contributing anything significant to the people of the state over the past decade. He stated that 10,606 teaching positions had been filled through the District Selection Committee (DSC) to provide quality education for underprivileged students. He also mentioned that the Indiramma government is focusing on improving the status of teachers and providing better job opportunities, whereas the previous administration failed to provide necessary facilities despite establishing numerous schools.
The Minister pointed out that the Indiramma government is committed to integrated schooling, aiming to provide quality education irrespective of caste or religion. He announced that the government planned to build schools in every constituency with a budget ranging between Rs 125 crore to Rs 150 crore. He accused the previous government of burdening the people with debt. He added that since the Congress government took over, opportunities for skill development with investments of Rs 300 crore have been created.
The government has initiated the construction of integrated Gurukuls to provide international quality education for underprivileged students. In the first phase, 28 integrated residential schools are to be established across the state.
